Skills2Learn have scooped another award for their Solar Thermal Hot Water e-learning programme. Attending the Solar Trade Association’s annual conference and exhibition at the University of Warwick, Skills2Learn received the Solar Trade Association Award for Best Innovation.

This is the second award given to Skills2Learn this year in recognition of forming and leading the innovative e-solar consortium and for developing the advanced, virtual reality based e-learning programme which supports students, tutors and the solar industry.

The awarding judges said: ”The introduction of this e-learning programme, if promoted well, will have a significant impact on the future of the solar industry. It will provide a continuation to training and refresh knowledge without the need to take time off work and thereby losing time and money. New technologies and techniques can be disseminated quickly to members and the wider industry.”

The Solar Trade Association’s annual conference and exhibition is the UK’s premiere event in the Solar Thermal Industry. Its aims this year were to discuss and debate how the solar thermal industry can continue to develop and implement its vision for a low carbon Britain, with solar as the starting point for building integrated renewables on all UK homes, businesses and other alternative uses. The conference also aims to establish targets that the solar industry can sign up to so we can all implement this sustainable future.
