Metropolitan International Schools (MIS) provide technical certificates in plumbing. The course consists of study packs, practical work and interactive e-learning. Skills2Learn has developed interactive scenarios providing the students with the opportunity to put into practice, and test to ascertain a level of competency on some of the plumbing subjects they have learned in the classroom via fully interactive simulations. Fully interactive scenarios were developed allowing the students to view the problem that they need to resolve, then they will navigate into a three bedroom virtual house where they can:

  • Navigate freely
  • Investigate the problems
  • Use test instrument(s)
  • Visually inspect components
  • Fix, amend and or replace fault parts
  • Complete the their tasks
  • View constructive feedback about their actions, critical tasks they did or missed

The feedback from students, tutors and assessors regarding the programmes is extremely positive as it allows learners to practice as many times as they would like, to master the subject without costing MIS any money due to parts wastage.
